Right from the outset a focus on clothing

The origins of today's company go back to the year 1975, when Gerhard Luz was working as a freelance trade representative for lingerie. Thanks to his familiarity with the wishes and needs of his customers, he soon recognized a market niche: good-quality clothing, up-to-date designs for low prices. The decision to start producing his own underwear and to supply the retail trade with attractive products rapidly proved to be a success. Since 1990, the second generation family-owned and operated company has been run by Marcus Luz. The attention to trade and the personal contact with suppliers, including those in the Far East and southern Europe, are still the basis of successful collections of the Jean Marie and Jean Classic brands. Furthermore, the licensing business under Luz Bodywear GmbH has developed just as successfully as the service for major customers of jointly developing own brands which are specially tailored to each customer's needs.
